Virtus.pro enter this match with a perfect 2-0 record, having already beaten AS Monaco Gambit (2-1) and PuckChamp (2-0). At the start of the month VP were also seen at the ONE Esports Singapore Major, where they finished seventh-eighth after losing to PSG.LGD (0-2) and Thunder Predator (0-2).

Regardless of that mediocre finish, VP are still one of the best Dota 2 teams in the region and one of the favourites to win this tournament. Their next opponents, Team Unique, are anything but that and enter this match off a 2-1 victory against PuckChamp and a 1-2 loss to Winstrike.

Virtus.pro might be stronger than Team Unique, but they definitely shouldn’t be priced as low as $1.09. Team Unique performed solid in their 0-2 loss to Team Spirit just two weeks ago, when they would have easily won the first map had they not lost one crucial team fight.

VP won this matchup 2-0 back in February, but Unique have since improved and should look better this time. At the offered Dota 2 betting odds, we have to take a shot with the outsiders to win at least one map.

AS Monaco have yet to win a single match this tournament, although they had to face Virtus.pro (1-2), Team Spirit (1-2), and Natus Vincere (0-2). Having already met three CIS top dogs, Gambit can now focus on picking up what should be easy points against the weaker sides.

Winstrike were far more successful in their opening three bouts, having beaten EXTREMUM (2-1) and Team Unique (2-1). Even though they lost to Team Spirit (1-2) last week, it was still a solid showing from Maxim “re1bl” Afanasyev and his crew.

AS Monaco Gambit are priced as massive favourites, largely due to their success at the Singapore Major, where they beat Team Nigma (2-0) and Team Liquid (2-0). Regardless of those results, we don’t expect them to stomp Winstrike.

Unless there’s a complete mismatch, these CIS Dota 2 clashes are generally very close. AS Monaco Gambit should still win, but it won’t be a clean sweep.

Despite receiving a direct invite to the third stage of the tournament, Winstrike’s performances have left a lot to be desired. They started with a 0-2 loss to Nemiga Gaming and followed up with a 1-2 defeat to ESPADA, thus finishing bottom of Group A and failing to progress to the playoffs.

The latter of those results was especially disappointing, as Winstrike squandered two golden opportunities to close out the match. Having sealed a comfortable 16-10 win on Dust II, they threw away a 14-7 lead on Mirage and then butchered a 9-6 advantage on Overpass. Both of those maps were notable for Winstrike’s awful performances on T-side.

Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev ended the series against ESPADA with an impressive 1.40 rating, which was easily the top mark of all players on both sides. His teammates, however, were well below their best, as none of them neither to put up higher than a 1.09 rating.

Like Winstrike, Hard Legion Esports have underperformed after receiving a direct invite to stage three of WePlay! Clutch Island. In the group stage, Sviatoslav “svyat” Dovbakh and his crew lost to Virtus.pro (1-2) and were trounced by Natus Vincere (0-2). They won only seven rounds against the IEM Katowice champions, finishing 2-16 on Train and 5-16 on Overpass.

Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy was the best-performing player on the team with a 0.73 rating against NaVi, while Dmytro “rAge” Bolotov managed only 0.50 for the series and an astounding 0.17 on Train – one of the lowest ratings ever seen in a professional play.

Hard Legion looked somewhat decent against Virtus.pro, although it was Forester was doing most of the work in that clash as well. He ended the series with the highest rating on the server (1.28), while his teammates Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko (0.91), Semyon “kinqie” Lisitsyn (0.89), rAge (0.86) and svyat (0.77) all struggled.

As above, Hard Legion mostly rely on Forester to do all the work. Although they showed some progress in May, their 50% win rate across the last 10 games is not too promising, especially considering they only managed to defeat HellRaisers, Wisla Krakow, Quantum Bellator Five and AGF, twice.

Winstrike, meanwhile, have an 80% win rate across the last 10 games. Most of those wins came in the ESEA Season 34: Advanced Division – Europe: Regular Season, where they faced semi-amateur teams such as Budapest Five, Kaban Gaming, Nevermind, Orgles5 and Wygers. They also defeated hREDS, sAw and AGF, but even that is not something to write home about.

The last time these teams met was in May at ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, where Winstrike won 2-0. But while it makes sense to have them priced as favourites, we would not be so quick to side with them on the outright market.

Hard Legion might have slipped against NaVi, but that’s to be expected when facing one of the strongest teams in CS:GO esports. They have a lot of issues to work on but should at least win on Overpass, where they hold a 56% win rate over 25 games compared to Winstrike’s 0% in four games.

Over 2.5 maps is paying more than $2.00 at most online bookmakers, so we don’t have to think twice about this one.

Nemiga’s solid form at Clutch Island reflects their improved performances since signing Anton “speed4k” Titov from Hard Legion Esports in January. The Russian pro has maintained a 1.09 average rating and helped his new team climb 22 spots in the CS:GO global rankings. At the last update, Nemiga were ranked 30th in the world and seventh in their region.

Some of the team’s most notable achievements since January include second place in the WINNERS League – Season 3: Europe Invite Division, fourth at OGA Counter PIT Season 5 and a fifth at ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS.

Winstrike Team have also been on the rise since the CS:GO esports scene transitioned to online play. Although they have not made any roster changes since the turn of the year besides the acquisition of coach Dmitrii “hooch” Bogdanov in February, Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov and co. managed to break into top 30 teams in the world after starting 2020 at 57th in the rankings.

Their success in recent months, which includes a second-place finish at ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS in May, has awarded Winstrike with 1,500 Regional Major Rankings (RMR) points, which earned them a direct invite into the third phase of WePlay! Clutch Island.

At the end of May, Winstrike attended BLAST Premier CIS Cup but failed to show anything noteworthy. They joined ESPADA, Nemiga and Syman Gaming as one of the first teams to crash out of the competition after Hobbit and his crew lost to ESPADA (1-2) and Natus Vincere Junior (1-2).

However, Winstrike regained some momentum in the ESEA Season 34: Advanced Division – Europe: Regular Season, where they have won seven out of their last eight games.

Additionally, Winstrike are on a five-game winning streak after they took down hREDS (16-10), Budapest Five (19-15), Kaban Gaming (16-8), Nevermind (16-3) and sAw (16-14). Most of those teams, however, were amateur or lower-tier squads, so we should not put too much weight on those results.

Considering how close their recent bout was and the fact these two rosters know each other well, we can expect to see another close affair, so betting on the underdogs at $2.29 is an obvious pick for us. Over 2.5 maps can also be considered.

The first matchday of the BLAST Premier CIS Cup will see Team Spirit’s academy roster, ESPADA, lock horns with Winstrike Team for the second time in their history.

Winstrike are eyeing another deep run following their grand final appearance at ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, where they ended up losing 2-0 to Team Spirit. Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov and co. were also involved at LOOT.BET/CS Season 6, where they reached the quarter-finals, while they currently sit 32nd in the ESEA Season 34: Advanced Division – Europe: Regular Season standings with a 2-2 record.

Winstrike enter the race for the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown with an impressive 73.3% win rate across the last three months. They have not seen much success in recent weeks, however, winning only four games out of the last 10 played.

The last roster change for Winstrike came in October 2019, when they acquired Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev, Aidyn “KrizzeN” Turlybekov and in-game leader Hobbit. A month later, the team parted ways with coach Ivan “Johnta” Shevtsov and replaced him with Dmitrii “hooch” Bogdanov.

Like Winstrike, ESPADA recently finished their venture through ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, although their journey was cut short a week prior since they failed to make it out of the group. Losses to Natus Vincere, Syman and Virtus.pro meant Dmitrii “S0tF1k” Forostianko and co. had to settle for a share of ninth-10th place with a 2-3 record.

ESPADA have since taken part in four other tournaments. MOSTBET Season 3 and WINNERS League are still running, while the Russian squad finished #HomeSweetHome: Week 4 in 13th-16th place without a single win. Spirit’s B-team also had a stint in the Red Bull Flick, where they grabbed a share of third-fourth place after losing 2-1 to venkonski in the semi-finals.

While ESPADA have won three of their last four competitive fixtures, all were in third-tier tournaments. In second-tier events and above, their record is 2-6 in their last eight outings.

ESPADA’s most recent roster changes happened just over a month ago, when they brought in Abdul “degster” Gasanov, Vladislav “FinigaN” Usov and coach Aleksei “OverDrive” Biriukov.

WINSTRIKE vs ESPADA BLAST PREMIER CIS CUP BETTING PREDICTIONS

These teams last met at LOOT.BET/CS Season 6 in April, when Winstrike won 2-1. But that match does not tell us a lot about how their second meeting will go, as ESPADA have two new players and a new coach.

Winstrike have seen more success of late but enter this match with a slightly worse record than their opponents. It’s also worth noting that ESPADA stole one map from Complexity at #HomeSweetHome, which shows they possess enough firepower to go toe-to-toe with any team.

We are not expecting ESPADA to win here, as they lack the quality to achieve that feat, but we also don’t expect them to lose without putting up a fight. Their trump card is degster, who is averaging a very solid 1.19 rating in the AWP role across the last three months. He also put up a shockingly good 1.49 rating against Complexity on Mirage.

A lot will come down to individual performances here. If ESPADA can focus and show their worth, they should win at least one map and thus force Winstrike to win it in three.

HELLRAISERS VS WINSTRIKE RIO 2020 CIS MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP CLOSED QUALIFIERS BETTING PREVIEW

HellRaisers and Winstrike will clash on the battlefield this Thursday in the closed qualifiers for the Rio 2020 CIS Minor Championship. The qualifiers will feature 16 CS:GO esports teams who will duke it out for eight tickets to the Minor tournament, where the top two teams will be awarded New Challenger Status for the Major and the third-placed squad will earn a spot in the play-in stage.

HellRaisers are entering qualifiers billed as one of the favourites to pocket a top-eight finish, however, luck was not on their side in the draw, as they are set to face Winstrike in round one, and possibly forZe in round two.

HellRaisers rebuilt their CS:GO roster back in September when they signed Vadim “Flatich” Karetin, Igor “crush” Shevchenko and Alexander “scoobyxie” Marynych, who teamed up with ?ygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas and Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow, who is set to celebrate his six-years anniversary with the team on Saturday, March 7. In October 2019, HellRaisers also signed Alexander “Lk-” Lemeshev as their head coach.

Since acquiring a new roster, HellRaisers appeared in several tournaments, but without much success. In October, they crashed out of both WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2: Online Stage and SECTOR: MOSTBET and later in November had unsuccessful ventures at Qi Banja Luka 2019: European Qualifier and ESL Pro League Season 10 – Europe, finishing 17th-20th and 11th-12th respectively.

ANGE1 and company picked up the pace towards the end of the year, however, when they finished fourth at WESG 2019 CIS and second at DreamHack Delhi Invitational, although they failed to make much noise at IEM Katowice Open qualifiers where they finished fifth-eighth and ended the year by dropping out of LOOT.BET/CS Season 5 due to “unforeseen circumstances” despite securing a playoffs berth.

In January HellRaisers parted ways with scoobyxie and replaced him with former pro100 AWPer Ivan “AiyvaN” Semenets. Shortly after, the Ukrainian squad appeared at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020: European Open Qualifier, but failed to make it past hREDS in round one, to which they added yet another disappointing run at FLASHPOINT Season 1: European Qualifier in mid-February, finishing at a 25th-32rd place.

Winstrike are entering this bout with an incomplete roster, as they have only three permanent members in Vlаdуslаv “bondik” Nеchуроrchuk, Aleksei “El1an” Gusev and Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev, who are joined by Aidyn “KrizzeN” Turlybekov as a stand-in player and Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov, who arrived at the team in October 2019 as a loanee from HellRaisers.

Earlier in November, Winstrike also parted ways with their coach Ivan “Johnta” Shevtsov, who left to coach a stack dubbed ProjectX, which later got signed by CR4ZY. As his replacement, Winstrike brought in an experienced Counter-Strike pro Dmitrii “hooch” Bogdanov.

Since signing Lack1 and acquiring Hobbit and KrizzeN, Winstrike produced a mixed bag of results, which include second-place finish at WESG 2019 Central Asia: Kazakhstan, seventh-eighth at WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2, as well as a silver medal at LOOT.BET/CS Season 5 back in December. In the last two months, however, Winstrike failed to see much success outside top finishes at European Open Qualifiers for DreamHack Open and FLASHPOINT Season 1.

HellRaisers and Winstrike have met once before, back in April 2019 during WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 1: Regular Season, when HellRaisers came out ahead with a commanding 16-5 win. However, we can’t look at that result for this betting preview, considering a lot has changed since. In fact, the only three players who were involved in that fixture and are still with the teams are ANGE1 and nukkye at HellRaisers and bondik at Winstrike.

Comparing the two rosters, Winstrike are in a significantly better form and it’s also worth noting that Winstrike members are averaging 0.11 higher rating compared to HellRaisers. Based on the map pools of the teams, we might see Overpass, where HellRaisers hold a 75% win rate over eight games, while Winstrike won 67% of their six games played on it, but are on a four-map win streak, which suggests they should enjoy a slight advantage.

Odds suggest HellRaisers should be the favourites, but we would like to think otherwise. Not only are Winstrike in better shape and boast with higher rating of their members, but they also field former HellRaiser member in Hobbit, which should give them the needed advantage to edge out a win.

Winstrike’s Dota 2 team has gone through numerous roster changes over the course of past few months, which saw players join and leave on a weekly basis, resulting in a very unstable roster and inconsistent performances.

Drastic times called for drastic measures, which led to the signing of the former Effect, Team Empire and Virtus.pro coach Arsenij “ArsZeeqq” Usov in October. He was assigned the role of Winstrike’s new head coach and took over the responsibility of assembling a new Dota 2 roster.

Weeks passed with no announcements about ArsZeeqq’s progress until Thursday, November 28, when Winstrike revealed an all-new team for the upcoming DPC season.

To start off, Winstrike signed ArsZeeqq, who is one of the most experienced and successful coaches in the industry. He previously coached some of the biggest names in the Dota2 scene and spent last year in charge of Virtus.pro, helping them clinch second spot in the DPC standings with 13,500 points.

Occupying the number one position will be Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin, a talented 22-year old who previously played for Gambit Esports. Joining him will be his former teammate Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin in the offlaner position.

The most exciting yet most questionable signing is Maxim “mellojul” Pnyov, who started his professional career in July 2019 but has already shown immense potential and talent while playing for Nemiga Gaming.

While they are all solid players, the spotlight is set to fall on the controversial Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobnik and the experienced Vladimir “RodjER” Nikoghosyan, who previously played under ArsZeeqq at Virtus.pro.

ALOHADANCE, while a talented player, made the news at the start of November when he reportedly refused to practice with his teammates at HellRaisers, which earned him an inactive spot in the team.

The new roster is now set to face its first challenge on Friday, November 29 at the DreamLeague Season 13 CIS Open Qualifier, where Winstrike will look to claim a spot in Sunday’s closed qualifiers.

Boombl4 is a 20-year-old professional CS:GO esports player who started his career in 2017, when he joined Elements Pro Gaming. The team disbanded barely two months after with many of its players joining Quantum Bellator Fire, who quickly became one of the best Russian teams at the time.

With Quantum Bellator Fire, Boombl4 won numerous tournaments and reached incredible heights. The most notable of those achievements came in October 2017, when QBF finished second in CIS Minor Championship – Boston 2018. That not only put the team on the map, it also put Boombl4 on the radar of some of the biggest CS:GO teams in the world. He moved to Winstrike in the summer of 2018 but failed to repeat the success he found at QBF.

Now, a player who was basically unknown before the start of 2018 will get a chance to test his skills with the world’s fourth-ranked CS: GO team, Natus Vincere.

With the arrival of Boombl4, the team had to make room by sending their veteran Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev to Winstrike in exchange. Edward is one of the original members of the NaVi lineup from 2009 and was the longest-standing member of the team before this latest roster change. He has helped the team tremendously in his 10 years of his service and was considered to be one of the top 20 players in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
